The Vietnam Guangning power plant project constructed by Shanghai Electric Group, is located in Halong, Guangning Province, Vietnam. The gensets output amounts to 1200 MW, with a total investment of about 1 billion USD.This is another major electric power project In Vietnam that a Chinese company participates in following the project of Haiphong Thermal Power Plant, Cave Thermal Power Plant and XuanGuang Hydropower Station.

This project adopts 2 sets of 720kW diesel gensets. These gensets are emergency diesel generator sets, which can quickly and automatically start in case of main power failure.
